Our work with the BBC

We provided two development programmes as well as ad hoc coaching for the BBC.



Maximising your Contribution

This 2017 programme was designed for disabled staff including those with mental health issues or a long-term illness. It consisted of three full-day workshops and three individual coaching sessions. It aimed to increase self-awareness and self-confidence among the participants and to encourage assertiveness in the workplace. The initial programme went so well that the Senior Commissioning Officer (General Manager of BBC North) asked us to extend the workshop to help the group prepare a set of proposals to present to BBC North’s Board. 



Reaching for the Best

This programme, also in 2017, was specifically developed for BBC's Hiring Managers to increase their awareness of the wider talent pool. They critically examined how to better access that pool and, broaden the range of applications for roles at the BBC.  



We also contributed to ‘Divercity’ – an event at BBC North, providing 1:1 coaching for disabled and neurodiverse staff in Salford and London.

The response to the coaching was consistently positive, with participants feeling good that they had been allowed to talk openly and confidentially.
