About Save the Children

Save the Children was founded in the UK in 1919. It was based on the belief that every child should have the chance to be who they are and become who they want to be. They work alongside children in 115 countries, including the UK. By providing life-saving short-term help, and pushing for deep rooted social change, they help children take their future into their own hands.

Our work with Save the Children

In 2018 we delivered an afternoon workshop focusing on Governance for a new local project targeted on a small neighbourhood where children’s outcomes are much lower than national averages, where life expectancy is considerably below average and where mental health issues are above average.

The workshop was designed to help staff to establish aims and objectives and consider how to measure their achievements. Our three facilitators also covered areas such as structures, responsibilities, and reporting.
