In 2023 we designed a bespoke programme in to enhance support in the area of leadership development and wellbeing for Experienced Leaders working in this sector.

Two of our facilitators delivered the programme which consisted of a combination of three workshops and four x 1:1 coaching sessions. Both facilitators had extensive experience of the personal development challenges faced by people wishing to make a difference within this sector.

Participants discussed areas such as psychological safety, the positive impact of networking, assertiveness, identity and the importance of being a leader of change. The overall consensus was that it was the combination of the workshops and 1:1 coaching which made this programme so rewarding for the participants.

Due to the success of this programme, Step Change commissioned a second one working with 6 Emerging Leaders put forward by the Consortium which ended in July 2024.

The programme ended with two consolidation sessions, bringing together Experienced and Emerging Leaders to share learning and develop support networks working together.
