Statement
'I was delighted to be asked to join the advisory board at Result CIC and am keen to play an active role to help raise the profile of such an exciting organisation. The vision and values of inclusivity and empowering disadvantaged people to identify barriers and find their own freedom to flourish are what drew me to working with Result CIC. Also, the Directors have immense and varied experience, skills and aptitude to provide others with the guidance and advice they need – and in my view, they each do this extremely well – if you haven’t already met them – please take the opportunity to do so – I am sure you will see exactly what I mean about what they each bring to the roles.

There is an old saying from the area of hockey: ‘the interesting thing about coaching is that you have to trouble the comfortable, and comfort the troubled’ (Ric Charlesworth, Australian hockey coach) . I believe this applies equally well to the work of Result CIC – in focusing on working with those most disadvantaged in society, they have the opportunity to trouble the comfortable – be it in tackling the norms and ways we have embedded in society that exclude some people by working with employers and service providers to think differently - and comfort the troubled – by guiding and supporting disadvantaged people to overcome the barriers that exclude them.'
