I am the Marketing Associate for Result.
This means that I create and coordinate communications for the organisation, manage the website, social media and branding, as well as leading on advertising and design. I also create the photography and film work, and do most of the copywriting too.
I have a varied career but it has mainly been focussed within the cultural and the arts sector. As a marketing manager, I’ve worked for The Lowry, Manchester International Festival and many other cultural organisations, where digital marketing became my speciality. For several years I wrote and edited travel and tourism guides for Time Out and I was also a professional photographer.
I am the author of a children's book which celebrates difference, Joe and Dusty Save the World.
I bring all of this, and my lived experience of marginalisation, to Result. Coming out as a young gay man in the 1980s required a degree of confidence and now, many years later, with a late diagnosis of autism, I find myself discovering more reasons to be confidently different.
