I have recently become a qualified MOE Coach which was made possible due to Result which sponsored communication support to enable me to complete the course. I have worked in Deaf Charities for the past thirty years. I am an accredited Action Learning Facilitator.
British Sign Language (BSL) is my first language so I will be able to provide coaching to those who use BSL as eye contact is vital in establishing a rapport between a coach and coachee. That is why I can support Result with the vital work they do as I am confidently different in that I provide coaching in BSL.
Prior to becoming a qualified Coach, I worked for the British Deaf Association in various capacities, as Executive Director for Manchester Deaf Centre and I am currently a Centre Manager for Warrington and District Society for Deaf People. I also used to teach Foundation Degree in Deaf studies for Llandrillo College in Colwyn Bay, North Wales.
In my spare time, I am a Chair of Wakefield and District Society for Deaf People, a position I have held for the past three years. I also love playing golf and pool. My other passion is following Swansea City Football Club and Wales football and Rugby teams.
